This is because it serves to keep the engine temperature at the correct level and maintain it in optimum working conditions. The auto radiator performs this task by using the principle of heat exchange to remove heat from the engine’s cooling fluid. The cooling fluid is a mixture of water and an antifreeze compound which circulates between the engine and the auto radiator. The radiator is made of aluminium tubes which circulate the cooling fluid around the auto radiator structure; and aluminium fins which direct flowing air to the surface area of the tubes thus completing the heat exchange process. Older models of the auto radiators were made of copper but these have been overtaken by aluminium types which are more efficient and cheaper to produce. The modern auto radiators have plastic tanks on either side of the radiator. These aluminium-plastic combination radiators have gaskets between the aluminium set up and plastic tanks to ensure proper sealing in of the cooling fluid. The older auto radiator models had brass tanks which were brazed to seal in the cooling fluid. For more information about auto radiator Please Visit www.vistaautoparts.com Source: PubliArticles.com |
